    Mercedes introduced the 190 SL in March 1955 at the Geneva Autosalon. At the same time they introduced the 300 SL Gullwing as Supersportscar of that times. In this shadow the 190 SL ( which based on the Ponton Sedan platform ) should bring commercial success for the company. The 190 SL was a good success ( 25.881 cars were sold ) and is still one of the symbols of the german Wirtschaftswunder of the 50s and 60s.

     

    Dieser 190 SL wurde in dieser Farbkombination ausgeliiefert. Der Wagen wurde von einem fachkundigen Berliner Enthusiasten ( zunächst für den Eigenbedarf ) ohne Rücksicht auf Kosten restauriert – dann aber doch nicht gefahren. Der 190 SL ist gut dokumentiert und kommt mit originaler Datenkarte und TÜV und H-Kennzeichen.
