Description:
The second-generation G-Class (series W 463) appeared in 1989, replacing the previous W 460/461. Permanent four-wheel drive, three 100 % locking differentials and, for the first time, ABS combined a rugged ladder-frame layout with an interior significantly upgraded over its predecessor. Until 1992 the 300 GE with M 103 inline six-cylinder (125 kW / 170 hp) was the largest-capacity petrol model. The short body variant (wheelbase 2,400 mm) was produced only in small numbers and is therefore seldom offered.
The Mercedes 300 GE presented here features the rare colour combination Malachite Green / black leather. Technically, the car has been comprehensively overhauled in the main areas of engine and brakes; the underbody has been elaborately preserved. Overall, the vehicle shows age-related signs of use and minor cosmetic defects. It has a new TÜV certificate with historic registration and German papers.
