Description:
The SL model series (R107), which was launched in 1971 as the successor to the so-called “Pagoda” (W 113), established a new design line at Mercedes-Benz with its wide-range H4 headlamps and large fluted tail lamps. The appearance of the R107 was style-defining for the Mercedes-Benz design of the 1970s.
A total of 11,812 units of the 500 SL R107 were built between 1980 and 1989.
This 500 SL Roadster was produced for the European market and delivered on 4 July 1983. A few years ago, the car underwent an extensive partial restoration by a Mercedes-Benz specialist on the basis of its untouched body condition. The new paintwork was done according to the original delivery colour in classic white. The leather interior was completely renewed. The underbody has been optically reworked to look as good as new. The odometer shows a mileage of 117,700 km. The car has a German road registration. An ideal entry into the world of classic cars!
