    Description:

The American state of California accepted only cars with regular fuel consumption from 1972, so Porsche responded immediately and adjusted the product range to 91 octane. Porsche did not want to offer less power, so they raised the cubic capacity. Porsche did well to comply with American regulations because over 50% of production went to the US at that time.

In 1972, 4894 Porsche 911 T Coupés were produced as so-called “Ölklappenmodell”. On these cars, the filler neck for the oil was located under a flap on the outside of the right-hand B-pillar instead of in the engine compartment. The “Ölklappenmodelll” was only built between 1971 and 1972 and is today one of the most sought-after 911s.

The Porsche 911 T Coupé presented here was first delivered to the USA in 1972, returned to Germany in 2013 and was lovingly restored on the basis of first-class original substance. The car, including engine and transmission, was disassembled and rebuilt using various new parts. The underbody was ice-blasted and sealed and the interior was upholstered in black leather.

According to the available delivery certificate, the vehicle is “Matching-numbers!” and presents itself in the original colour scheme.

This “Ölklappenmodell” is in excellent condition and impresses with its sporty driving characteristics.
