Description:
In the mid-1960s, Porsche was faced with the challenge of replacing the technically outdated Porsche 356. The Porsche 911 was introduced in 1963, but with its new 6-cylinder boxer engine it was relatively expensive and not affordable for all customers. Porsche then developed the 912 as a cheaper alternative and introduced it to the market with great success. The model was produced between 1965 and 1969 in the Targa and Coupé versions. Externally, the 912 is almost identical to the 911, but has a smaller engine and a simpler interior with less chrome.
According to the Mercedes-Benz data card available, the colour combination and the installed engine correspond to the delivery specifications. As an early version of the 912, this vehicle still has many features from the 356, such as the instrumentation. A rare opportunity to acquire an extensively restored 912 Coupé in very good condition with a 5-speed gearbox and tasteful colour combination.
