Description:
Porsche remembers with pleasure the early seventies, when the 911 2,7 Carrera RS was launched in the hope of being able to sell the 500 units required for homologation. The 500 cars were sold immediately. At the Geneva Motor Show in 1991, the two magic letters were back on the rear of the simple looking 964. At the second glance there are quite extensive differences between the RS and the standard model. The rear seats were missing as well as electric windows. The glasses were kept thin and the bonnets were made of aluminium. In addition the brake system were improved (front callipers from the Turbo, rear from the Cup Carrera), standard ABS and 17-inch magnesium cup wheels.
Just 1.992 examples of the 964 Carrera RS were built!
This Porsche 964 Carrera RS was first delivered to Japan on 05.04.1992. In 2021 the car made its way back to Germany via a well-known Porsche collector. The car was manufactured in the rare color “rubystone red” The on-board folder including service booklet, a Porsche certificate and the original Japanese registration are available.
