Description
Zuffenhausen was only too happy to recall the early 1970s, when the 911 2.7 Carrera RS was launched at the Paris Salon in the hope of selling the 500 units required for Homologation. There were considerably produced more. At the 1991 Geneva Motor Show, the two magic letters were back on the rear of a plain-looking 964 rear-wheel-drive car. If you took a closer look, you could see the extensive differences between the RS and the normal model. The rear seats were missing, as were the electric windows. The glasses were kept thin and the bonnets were made of aluminium. In addition, there were reinforced brakes (from the Turbo at the front, from the Cup Carrera at the rear), ABS as standard and 17-inch magnesium Cup rims.
Just 1,992 examples of the 964 RS were produced!
This Porsche 964 Carrera RS was delivered in Germany on 09.07.1993. The car has a mileage of only 38,000 km! Since 2004 the car is in the hand of the current owner. The service booklet and invoices for service are available.
A good opportunity to acquire a 964 Carrera RS in collector’s condition!
