Export versions of the VW Beetle featured significantly upgraded equipment. These models were fitted with more comfortable seats, improved dashboard and steering wheel materials, and chrome trim instead of rubber strips. In addition, door handles and bumpers received chrome finishes, and the headliner was upholstered in fabric – features that give the car a more elegant appearance and are highly desirable today.

The Volkswagen Beetle is one of the most iconic vehicles in post-war German automotive history. The models with the split rear window – commonly known as “Brezelkäfer” – were produced from 1945 until March 1953 and are especially sought-after in early production years.
The example offered here was delivered on 19 December 1950 via Raffay in Hamburg and presents in superbly restored collector condition. The vehicle remained in single ownership for over three decades and underwent a comprehensive, professional full restoration. The work was extensively documented and completed in 2019.
