Description:
Introduced in Turin in 1972, the Maserati Khamsin represents the last classic Gran Turismo. It is powered by a 4.9-litre V8 engine developed from the Tipo 54 racing unit. The body was designed by Marcello Gandini and built by Bertone. Only 430 examples were produced between 1973 and 1982.
This Maserati was delivered in 1975 in Paris through Thepenier to its first owner, Dr Peron of Neuilly. The original owner passed away in 1981. During the first five years the car was driven only 22,377 km, after which it was stored for more than 34 years and remained untouched until 2014. It is therefore a largely unmolested original vehicle. In 2015 it was sold to its second owner. Subsequently, the entire technical side was extensively overhauled, as documented by the available invoices. The underbody was dry-ice blasted, cosmetically refurbished, and preserved. The original French registration document accompanies the car. This Maserati offers you the rare opportunity to acquire a superbly preserved example with a total mileage of only 26,097 km.
