    Description:

William Richard Morris, the founder of the Morris Company, was a great talent, technically and commercially. In 1928 he launched the first generation Morris Minor and set a milestone in the history of small cars. Morris and the Austin Motor Company merged into the British Motor Company in 1952. The same year the Minor received a revised engine and transmission. Considered to be more robust, the Morris Minor models were a huge sales success, earning the company a reputation as the “English Volkswagen.”  This series was complemented in 1953 by a successful station wagon – the Traveller – with its partially wood-paneled body, which is still very popular today as the so-called “Woodie.” In 1960, the Minor became the first British car of which more than one million had been sold.

This Morris Minor Traveller 1000 offered here was registered on 03.10.1968. Having been a long-time part of a private Car collection the vehicle was extensively restored. A photo documentation as well as documents about executed maintenance work are also available. The vehicle convinces by its excellent condition and improved driving characteristics. The Traveller is particularly suitable for the use as an everyday classic or advertising vehicle.

Right-hand drive, Minilite rims, Moto-Lita sport steering wheel, conversion to 1300cc Rover Mini engine including power upgrade, HS4 carburetor, K&N air filter, MK2 front and rear mufflers, brake booster and front disc brakes.
