The Jaguar MK I was conceived in the late 1950s as a sporty luxury saloon and quickly became a popular choice for motorsport competition. With its powerful six-cylinder engine, robust engineering, and elegant bodywork, it set new standards in its segment. The car proved itself both on the racetrack and in everyday use, participating in numerous international rallies. Today, the MK I is regarded as a stylish classic with a sporting pedigree—rare, characterful, and highly desirable.
The vehicle offered here was first registered on 01/07/1958 and is presented in grey with black leather interior. It arrived in Germany in the early 1990s and has been in the ownership of a Hamburg businessman for over 20 years. During this time, he and his wife competed with the car in numerous international rallies and races—including four appearances in the “Tour Auto,” multiple entries in the “Pan America,” and many other events. A comprehensive photographic archive documents this remarkable history. A large folder containing invoices, valuations, and other paperwork is also available.
