    Description:

The Chevrolet Corvette C2 was presented in the summer of 1962 as the second generation of the Corvette with the name “Sting Ray”. For the first time, the Corvette was available not only as a convertible but also as a coupé. The later legendary “big block” V8 engines first appeared in 1965; initially with 6.5 litres and from 1966 with 7.0 litres cubic inch! Especially in the USA, the Corvette was used very successfully in motor sports. The Corvette C2 was built from September 1962 to July 1967.

This car was purchased in 1965 by British actor Sir John Mills. He originally bought the car for his daughters, the actresses Juliet and Hayley Mills.

Juliet Mills and her husband, the actor Maxwell Caulfield, owned the car until the mid-1980s.

The very rare Corvette offered here, received an extensive frame-off restoration by “Richard Petty’s Garage” in North Carolina, completed in November 2014. The car is well documented with invoices and paperwork, as well as photos of the restoration.
