    In 1968, the BMW E3 was introduced for the first time as the BMW 2500 and BMW 2800. After the carburettor version, the BMW 3.0 Si was the first E3 with intake manifold injection and was only produced in a very small number of units.

    With the new Bosch D-Jetronic and increased compression, the power was raised to 200 hp. The driving performance is outstanding, even from today’s point of view. The three-litre models were equipped with ventilated disc brakes at the front and rear as standard, as well as power steering.
