Description:
A total of 200 300 Sc models were built (53 roadsters, 48 cabriolets, 99 coupés). Mercedes developed its own engine for this model at the time.
With a purchase price of 38,500 DM at the time, it cost around 9,000 DM more than a 300 SL Gullwing. Only a few wealthy people could afford such a vehicle in these days. It is considered to be the last Mercedes ever to be produced largely by hand.
This Mercedes-Benz 300 Sc Cabriolet was delivered to New York, USA on 22 August 1956.
The vehicle has a fantastic originality. Based on this the car was very extensive restored around 20 years ago by specialist Scott Grundfor in California. After restoration, the car was sold to Japan in 2005.
From there, the car returned to Germany in 2022 and was sold to a Mercedes-Benz collector. Finally, an extensive service was carried out at a Mercedes-Benz specialist for this model. The vehicle has its original engine (‘matching number’)!
The car is in an outstanding condition and a rare opportunity!
