Description:
The Aston Martin DB6 represents the final evolution of the legendary DB series, featuring classic Touring design. Its distinctive fastback styling, extended wheelbase, and improved aerodynamics mark a maturing of the iconic GT formula. Especially in its sought-after Vantage specification, the DB6 boasts enhanced performance and a sportier character. Only around 268 examples of the Mk I and approximately 70 units of the Mk II Vantage were produced – a testament to its rarity, particularly in original left-hand drive (LHD) form, of which only a handful were ever delivered. The DB6 masterfully combines Italian coachwork aesthetics with proven British engineering – a true gentleman’s grand tourer. Its exclusivity, lasting value, and iconic presence make it a highly desirable collector’s item in the world of classic Aston Martins.
The example presented here was acquired by its current owner in the UK in 2011 and has remained in the same hands ever since, now registered in Germany. It is an original matching-numbers Vantage model, professionally converted to left-hand drive during a comprehensive restoration. The meticulous rebuild is clearly reflected in the car’s current condition: it impresses with its striking Silverbirch exterior – the classic James Bond colour – and a refined burgundy leather interior. The vehicle has been continuously maintained and technically upgraded. Since its restoration, it has also seen use on various rally events, demonstrating both its performance and reliability.
Engine: 4.0-litre inline-six engine, approx. 325 hp (Triple Weber carburettors)
