    Description:

The car presented here, chassis no. 2423 GT, was completed on 20 March 1961 as a Ferrari 250 GTE 2+2 and delivered through the Ferrari dealer Franco Britannic in Paris. In the late 1980s, the vehicle underwent a comprehensive restoration by a Ferrari specialist in England. During the rebuild, it received a shortened chassis as well as a Drogo body (ex–250 GTO / Norinder) and was finished in blue. The mechanical components were completely upgraded to GTO specification: high-performance engine with dry-sump lubrication and six-carburettor setup, sports exhaust system, Colotti racing gearbox, racing-style instrumentation, external quick-fill fuel system, etc.

Upon completion of the work, the car was sold through a renowend Ferrari dealer in England. In 1995 it passed to a Ferrari enthusiast in Hamburg, and in 2013 it was acquired by its current owner. Under his direction, the car underwent an extensive restoration in recent years. Inspired by the David Piper racing cars, it received its current green livery. The engine and gearbox were completely overhauled by a specialised Ferrari workshop.

The Ferrari 250 GT/E “Drogo” SWB is not an original 250 GTO, but a car built on the basis of a 250 GTE that preserves the coachwork designed by Piero Drogo and has been upgraded technically to GTO specification. Its distinctive body design, interesting history, and impressive performance make it a fascinating automobile – at only a fraction of the price of a 250 GTO. The vehicle comes with a current German road registration. A unique automobile for any high-quality collection, ideal for Ferrari enthusiasts and historic sporting events.

    Engine: 12-cylinder V-engine, 2.953 cm
