    Description:

Only 513 examples of the 3 litre Bentley in Speed Model specification (Red Label) with a 9`9“ chassis were produced.

This 3 ltr. Bentley was delivered to Geoffrey Davies on 25.9.1924. The further history of the car and its owners are well documented. All invoices have been preserved throughout since the 1960s. Extensive restoration work was carried out in the 1970s and 1990s and the car has been continuously maintained since then. Today it is in a very coherent, pleasantly patinated condition. This is a rare opportunity to acquire one of the desirable Speed Models with “matching numbers”, which was already equipped with a tourer body when it was delivered – i.e. it does not belong to the re-bodied examples that are frequently encountered today.

    Coachwork:
Open Tourer, 2-door/4-seater, aluminium body, originally delivered as Vanden Plas Tourer with body no. 1082, second windscreen for rear passengers optional.

    Engine:
4-cylinder in-line engine, 2,996 cc, 4 valves per cylinder, overhead camshaft, “sloper” carburettor, magneto dual ignition, A-type gearbox, 3.53:1 rear axle ratio, overdrive (retrofitted).
