    Description:

Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 1961, the Jaguar E-Type set entirely new standards in design and performance. With its 3.8-litre straight-six engine, proven in competition in the D-Type, the early Series 1 is now regarded as the purest and most sought-after version of the model, thanks to its glass-covered headlights and minimalist cockpit.

According to the accompanying Jaguar Heritage Certificate, this original left-hand-drive example was delivered through Jaguar New York in 1962 and retains its original colour scheme and matching-numbers engine. Its history is well documented; among its previous owners was the chairman of the Jaguar Owners Club in Ontario, Canada, who owned the car for many years. Following its return to Europe in 2018, the roadster underwent an extensive partial restoration, including a complete engine overhaul in 2021. Since then, it has been regularly maintained by specialists. The E-Type has demonstrated its outstanding driving characteristics at various historic rallies, most recently in Sardinia in 2025. As a non-flat-floor example, the roadster also benefits from recessed footwells, providing additional footroom. The rare Series 1 specification, featuring bucket seats, the distinctive aluminium dashboard and the rare factory hardtop in body colour, makes this example an exceptional opportunity for discerning enthusiasts.
